Product Overview
Cortizo’s Bi-fold Plus system turns walls into openings. Aluminium panels slide and fold back, stacking neatly to one or both sides, giving you full-width access when you need it. A traffic door built into the system operates like a normal door so you can step outside without opening everything, which matters when it’s cold or you just need quick access.
Panels accommodate heights up to 3 metres, and you can configure from 2 to 14 panels depending on your opening width. These work for extensions, new builds, or replacing existing patio or sliding doors where you want the flexibility to open up a space or keep it closed.

Design and Configuration Options
Panel Configurations
The system works with 2 to 14 panels. Small 2-3 panel setups suit standard door openings. Larger configurations (5-8 panels or more) open up entire walls. Panels can fold all to one side, split evenly to both sides, or use uneven splits depending on your space and which side you want the traffic door.
Colours & Finishes
Any RAL colour with powder coat. Standard colours (black, white, anthracite grey) typically ship faster. Wood-grain foils give a timber look without maintenance. Smooth foils suit contemporary projects. Dual-colour available – different colours inside and outside.
Threshold Options
Standard threshold sits at floor level with a track. Low threshold option available for wheelchair access or where you want minimal step between inside and outside – useful for level thresholds on patios or decking.
Security Hardware
PAS 24 certification includes multi-point locking on the traffic door with anti-snap, anti-drill, anti-bump cylinders. Intermediate panels use shoot-bolt locking with slim rotary handles that don’t interfere when panels are stacked. Higher security specifications available if required.
Glazing
Accommodates 25-48mm units – double or triple glazing depending on thermal requirements. Specify toughened for lower panels or impact areas. Laminated improves acoustic performance and security. Low-E coatings reduce U-values. Maximum glazing thickness helps with noise reduction if needed.
Traffic Door Setup
Odd-numbered panel configurations (3, 5, 7 panels) automatically have a traffic door. Even numbers need uneven splits to include one – for example, a 4-panel system split 3+1 puts the single door as traffic access. The traffic door has its own handle and cylinder, operating independently so you don’t fold everything just to get outside.
