Product Overview

The Schueco ASE 80 is the high-performance version of the ASE 60 Lift and Slide Doors, built with 80mm deep frames to accommodate much thicker glazing and achieve significantly better thermal efficiency. Where the ASE 60 comfortably meets building regulations, the ASE 80 exceeds them by a considerable margin – achieving Uw values as low as 0.76 W/m²K.

The deeper profile allows for triple glazing up to 60mm thick, which delivers both superior insulation and better acoustic performance (up to 43 dB sound reduction). Despite the enhanced thermal capacity, it maintains the same slim 40mm sightlines where panels meet and the same smooth lift-and-slide mechanism.

Schueco ASE 80 Lift and Slide

Features

Lift-and-slide mechanism

Panels lift before sliding, so even large, heavy units move smoothly with one hand

Sightlines from 40mm

Narrow frames where panels meet let in more light and keep views uninterrupted

Panels up to 3.5m × 3.5m

Handles oversized glazing – ideal for full-height openings or spanning wide garden views

Thermal efficiency from 1.1 W/m²K

Uw values from 0.76 W/m²K – meets passive house standards and exceeds building regulations significantly

Design and Configuration Options

The ASE 80 works on the same track system as the ASE 60 – single, double, or triple track depending on how many panels you need and how much of the opening you want to clear. Common configurations include two-panel (one fixed, one sliding), three-panel (two sliding, one fixed), and four-panel arrangements where multiple panels stack to one side.

Panels can be finished in any RAL colour, anodized, or powder-coated, with different colours possible inside and out. Hardware is concealed within the profile, and flush locking points are available as an upgrade for an even cleaner appearance when the door is closed.
